To begin making the Jowar Atta Roti/ Phulka Recipe, keep all the ingredients ready.
Into a large mixing bowl, add jowar flour, whole wheat flour and salt to taste. Add little water at a time to knead to make a smooth dough. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of oil towards the end and knead until the dough comes away from the sides of the pan and is smooth.
Divide the dough into lemon size portions. Take a portion of the dough and dust it in wheat flour. Roll the dough into a 5 to 6 inch diameter circle.
Place the rolled out dough on a preheated skillet and cook for a few seconds until small bubbles appear on the surface.
Flip and cook the roti for a few seconds and place it over the open flame. Cook till Jowar roti puffs up. Keep flipping and cooking the Jowar Atta Roti till brown spots appear on both sides and the roti is cooked through.
Once done transfer the Jowar Atta Roti onto a serving plate. Drizzle ghee around the roti and serve immediately.
