Roasted Papad Chaat is a quick and filling snack that can be served in a jiffy when you have sudden visitors at home. The toppings for the chaat can be anything; a varied choice of fruits, raw mangoes or even fresh vegetables.

Serve the Roasted Papad Chaat as a side dish along with main course like Spinach Rice Recipe (Palak Pulao).

Ingredients

    4 Papads, roasted
    1/2 Raw Peanuts (Moongphali), roasted
    1/4 Cashew nuts, roasted (optional)
    1 Onions, finely chopped
    1 Tomatoes, finely chopped
    1 Cucumber, peeled and diced into cubes
    2 Potatoes (Aloo), boiled, peeled and diced into cubes
    1 Lemon juice
    2 Chaat Masala Powder, to taste
    Salt, to taste
    2 Green Chillies, finely chopped (optional)
    3 Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions for Roasted Papad Chaat Recipe

    To begin making the Roasted Papad Chaat, roast the papads on an open flame or in a microwave oven and crush them into small pieces.

    Next, in a large bowl add the boiled and diced potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumber,  peanuts and cashew nuts and mix thoroughly. Now sprinkle the chaat masala, lime juice and green chilli over the vegetables and toss gently.

    Finally, add the roasted and crushed papads to the vegetables and stir well.

    Serve this immediately or else the papads will gradually get soggy.

    Another option to serve the Roasted Papad Chaat, is to toss all the salad ingredients together and keep it in the refrigerator. Once it is chilled, add the crushed papads to it and serve immediately.

    Serve the Roasted Papad Chaat as a side dish along with main course like Spinach Rice Recipe (Palak Pulao).

Note : Sprouted moong dal can also be added to the chaat to make it more healthy.
